Privacy Policy

TubeLearn ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TubeLearn website and service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or express Pro interest, we collect your email address.
- YouTube URLs — when you submit a YouTube link to create a Lesson, we process that URL to identify the public video and retrieve available captions.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — we may collect basic analytics such as pages visited, referrer, and interaction events (for example, submitting a URL or clicking a Pro CTA) to understand how the product is used.
- Device and browser data — standard web server logs may include IP address, browser type, and operating system. We do not use this data to identify you individually.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process YouTube URLs and generate AI-enhanced Lessons (articles and quiz questions).
- To send you early access or product updates if you joined the waitlist (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To measure product demand and validate whether learners want the core workflow before expanding features.
- To diagnose technical issues and improve the service.
3. YouTube and Third-Party Content
TubeLearn processes publicly available YouTube video captions via the YouTube Data API. We do not download, store, or redistribute video files or raw transcripts. Lesson content is AI-enhanced from captions and subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
4. AI-Generated Content
Lesson articles, quiz questions, and answer explanations are generated by AI models. We do not store your full prompts or raw AI outputs in a form visible to other users. AI-generated content may be inaccurate — verify important facts with primary sources.
5. Data Retention
We retain email addresses collected via the waitlist until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Lesson data generated from YouTube URLs may be cached temporarily to improve performance. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers — third-party vendors who help us operate the service (for example, email delivery and hosting infrastructure), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TubeLearn, its users, or the public.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We may use minimal session storage or local storage to remember your state within the app (for example, a submitted URL or quiz progress). We do not currently use persistent advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics tools are added, this policy will be updated.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@tubelearn.app. Waitlist subscribers may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
9. Children's Privacy
TubeLearn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TubeLearn after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
